Monica McCafferty Published: 09.25.12 | Updated: 09.25.12 Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado to Co-Host "Ask Mitt" Rally in Denver in Advance of Presidential Debate Part of Campaign to Mobilize Voters to "Ask Mitt" Denver, Colorado — On Tuesday, October 2, Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado will co-host a rally in Denver in advance of the first Presidential Debate to educate voters about the stark differences between President Obama and Mitt Romney on the issues women care about, including women's health, birth control, and preventive health and cancer screenings. As part of Planned Parenthood Action Fund's "Ask Mitt" campaign, Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards will be joined at the rally by Senator Michael Bennet, Representative Diana DeGette, and others to educate and mobilize women in Colorado and across the country to get involved in the election and have their voices heard. WHO: Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund; Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO); Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO); Vicki Cowart, CEO of Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado. WHEN: Tuesday, October 2, 4 p.m. MDT WHERE: Auraria Campus: St. Cajetans 1190 9th St, Denver, CO 80204. PPVC is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, and sees firsthand the women and families who would be hurt by the policies that Mitt Romney supports. Efforts to eliminate access to birth control, cancer screenings, and basic preventive health services started in Congress two years ago. Now we're seeing cuts and attacks that put women's health at risk in states across the country — which is a preview of what Mitt Romney would do all across America. These are basic economic issues for women and families, and supporting birth control is smart fiscal policy for the country.
