What is Voices for Choice?

Voices for Choice is the small donor committee associated with Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado.  We are proud to have recently launched Voices for Choice, empowering pro-choice individuals from all walks of life to join in electing candidates who support unhindered access to reproductive healthcare services, funding for women’s health care, and comprehensive sex education in Colorado’s schools. 

What is a small donor committee?

A small donor committee is a type of political committee.  Individuals, not corporations, are the only entities allowed to contribute to small donor committees, and each individual may contribute a maximum of $50 per calendar year to any given small donor committee.  The small donor committee then pools individual contributions into larger gifts directly to a candidate campaign.

Because individuals are limited to giving $50 per year per small donor committee, every donor receives an equal voice in her/his ability to influence the democratic process and political campaigns in the state of Colorado. 

How will Voices for Choice make my voice heard?

The cumulative contributions of supporters like you will enable Voices for Choice to make influential gifts directly to the campaigns of select pro-choice candidates.  Voices for Choice will fund only 100% pro-choice candidates running for State General Assembly or State Executive Office in Colorado as our resources allow.  We believe this policy creates the greatest political impact for our contributions and those of our individual donors.
