The mission of Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado is to promote pro-choice and pro-family planning policies, to advocate for unrestricted access to reproductive healthcare services and comprehensive sex education, and to serve as the resource of choice for candidates and elected officials on these issues. 

Our goals are to:

• Foster a political climate conducive to ensuring access to the full range of reproductive health care services.

• Recruit and support pro-choice, pro-family planning candidates for local and state-level elected office; provide them with education and background on our issues.

• Build strong support for and an understanding of the importance of teaching comprehensive, age-appropriate, science-based comprehensive sexuality education in our communities and public organizations.

• Develop and promote proactive policies and legislation to protect and expand access to the full spectrum of reproductive health care services and comprehensive, responsible sexuality education in Colorado.

• Identify at earlier stages negative legislation and defeat legislative attacks that would restrict access to and availability of safe reproductive health care services and comprehensive, responsible sexuality education throughout our state.

• Expand the capacity of Voices for Choice, the Small Donor Committee associated with PPVC, enabling substantive direct financial contributions to pro-choice candidates.

• Collaborate with elected officials, policymakers and coalition partners to build the network of organizations necessary to ensure current and future access to and funding of family planning services and education.

• Grow our network of informed activists and donors to demonstrate the strength and to articulate the needs of local communities across the state.
